WET TIMES LOOM AHEAD....
After a nearly 3 week stretch of weather dominated by limited moisture and rainfall, the pattern is changing and will become conducive for heavier precipitation later in the weekend and early next week. A preview of what's to come was experienced Tuesday in parts of my area when showers and storms dumped up to 2" of rain in localized spots. You can see on the satellite how the jet is now aligned from the southwest drawing moisture into the central U.S. A pronounced trough ove

TRICKS TODAY, TREATS FOR HALLOWEEN....
With just a couple of days to go, October temperatures are running cool around the Midwest. Though the core of the cold has been centered over Canada and the Plains. High pressure is in control now but a cold front will come through on Tuesday and lead to a few showers. Not much in the way of accumulation. And behind the front drier

JUST A FEW MINOR THINGS...
The weather hasn't changed much over the last about two weeks around here. Temperatures have been near and below normal and there's been little in the way of precipitation. Over the last seven days, most of the Upper Midwest has seen less than a half an inch of rain - There will be a few disturbances that move through that will bring some rain. However, the air is so dry that these systems fall apart and there won't be much actually falling and accumulating. Here's the rainfa
