WARNINGS ARE FLYING, SOME NEW SNOW NUMBERS...
As expected winter storm warnings have now been raised for the majority of my area from noon Monday through noon Tuesday. Widespread snows of 5-10" are anticipated with enough wind (gusts 20-30) to produce some areas of blowing and drifting. The official NWS snowfall forecast for my region looks pretty good to start with but something that needs to be addressed is the wide range in amounts across the north. UPDATE ON POTENT WINTER STORM...
The latest data from Sunday's morning's models continue to point at a major winter storm for the majority of my area, especially for the area near and south of HWY 20. Most of the 2" amounts (perhaps a couple 3" totals) will occur near and north of HWY 30, especially closer to HWY 20. Further south minor snow amounts are expected with some concern for freezing drizzle, which could even get into my central counties after the snow tapers off. This system won't be around

FOR WHOM THE SNOW BELL TOLLS...
After several days of speculation, the bell is set to toll on a snowy period around the central Midwest. Three separate snow producers are in the pipeline and on the way. Get your shovels ready, things are looking flaky. Details below on the coming trifecta.
