STORMY START TO SUNDAY....
Strong to severe thunderstorms have been moving through Minnesota and Iowa overnight and will continue into Sunday. I'm going to make this brief because I'm working overnight covering these storms. Large hail has been falling in parts of Minnesota and Iowa and the threat for strong storms will continue into the morning in Illinois as well.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been posted for eastern Iowa and will likely be extended into portions of Illinois and Wisconsin.
Storms will advance toward the Quad Cities over the next few hours and into early Sunday morning.
By that point the bigger threat will be strong winds but some hail will also be possible. Storms will wind down Sunday by midday and hot, humid air will take over.
