GOING AFTER MOTHER NATURE'S MOST VIOLENT STORMS! MEET THE STORM TRACKERS!

The team is assembled. We have a crackerjack group of extreme weather enthusiasts from Iowa and Illinois joining us for the Tswails.com 2017 "Into The Storm Chase" Powered By Dahl Ford.

First up is a father and son team from Illinois. Stephen McCoy, who is engaged and is also a cardiac nurse from Peoria, Illinois. His dad, Don McCoy, is an employee at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois. Don is better known as "Doppler Don" around the campus for his love of extreme weather.

Our next team member is Matt Schwind. This trip is actually a birthday present from his wife of 29 years, Tracy (amazing idea!). Matt is a former radio guy from Davenport, Iowa and now works in real estate. In fact, Matt was named the 2012 Realtor of the Year in the Quad Cities! Matt has two kids and a dog named Molly.

Blaine Hilton is also joining us. Blaine is now retired having worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He lives in Knoxville, Illinois and we're thrilled to have him along.

Then we have Scott Haynes who hails from Dewitt, Iowa. Scott has been married for seven years and has a six year-old daughter. He is a contruction superintendent for Build to Suit which is based in both Bettendorf and Coralville. Scott remembers being a kid and watching Terry on television in the Quad Cities. He and his buddy would check out the radar and then climb on the roof to watch the storms.

We will also have our team of seasoned meteorologists/storm chasers with us. Russell Smith, Kholby Martin, and Ethan Schiller. These guys are some of the best in the business of tracking down tornadoes.

Last, but certainly not least is John Miller. John is our IT guy and a key part of our success each year chasing storms. John is married to the beautiful Jules and has two boys. He lives in Muscatine.

Then Terry and myself. I will be providing the social media for the trip so everyone can come along via the internet.

We'll be heading out May 26th and I'll keep you posted on where we're headed. In the meantime, I want to thank all the folks who emailed me with their interest to chase storms. We frankly had no idea the response would be so overwhelming. In the end, I went with the "first come, first serve" policy to invite folks on the trip. There is an extremely good chance we will do this again next year...so if you have any interest in chasing extreme weather...make sure you follow along with us so you can get a taste of what it's all about.

Again a huge thanks to our sponsor, Dahl Ford. KV Dahl and his fine team at Dahl Ford have been incredible supporters of tswails.com and we are proud to be associated with them.
