ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER SEASON

A full on blizzard moved through portions of the Midwest just a day after spring popped by with warmth, showers and thunderstorms. We hit 70s and 80s a few days ago... now it's back to winter. Heavy snow and wind Saturday lead to white out conditions and snow piling up in mid April.... and more snow fell Sunday.

Snow on the ground as of Sunday morning -

And then additional snowfall Sunday -

As of Sunday afternoon 13.2" of snow has fallen in Minneapolis since Saturday, which ranks in the top 20 snowiest storms in the Twin Cities.

Even more out west... 23.2" in Green Bay ranks as the SECOND biggest snowstorm in Green Bay.

Impressive for any time of year... outstanding for April!

Not nearly as much snow in my local area...

This storm will continue to move to the east coast into Monday and it will be blustery and cold.

Then there will be a brief break in the precipitation before another system moves in midweek.

Still some differences on where exactly the snow will fall, but it will be many of the same places that got hit hard by this last storm. Overall, spring is not yet on the horizon.

Stay warm! RK
