CLIMBING UP IN NOVEMBER....

November has been far from ordinary so far and it's going to continue to exceed expectations. A big ridge of high pressure will move back in Monday:

The ridge will remain in place through Thursday, creating temperatures 10-15 degrees above normal:

Let's not pay too much attention to the numbers but the overall trends... Temperatures will remain above normal for much of the week. Here's a look at the trends for Cedar Rapids:

And Quad Cities:

There will be one cold front Thursday into Friday, but little to no precipitation is expected with it.

In fact, the entire week will likely be dry. A whole lot of nothing on the models through Friday:

A stronger storm is on the way around the 19-20th, which will bring our best chance for precipitation and much colder air:

Enjoy it while it lasts, hang the holiday decorations and get the yard work done in the next seven days.
