'TIS THE SEASON...

This week has it all - frost, rain, and the potential for severe weather. 'tis the season after all!

Though it is a stark contrast from last weekend, when temperatures were in the 80s, we did have freezing temperatures Saturday morning and more Freeze Warnings into Sunday morning.

Temperatures will drop down below freezing as skies (finally) clear and winds remain light:

It's not uncommon for us to have freezing temperatures into late April. The average date for the last freeze in the area is April 21-30.

Frost is likely into early/mid May as it can occur with temperatures of 36 degrees or cooler.

With more sunshine, temperatures will rebound and will be closer to normal on Sunday:

Gusty south winds ahead of a cold front will help send temperatures up on Monday:

A few showers will be possible late Monday into early Tuesday as that cold front moves through:

A stronger storm system will move through the Midwest Thursday and Friday. There's the potential for severe weather with this storm, but will be dependent on timing and track. The SPC already has our area in a risk for Thursday (day 7):

We'll give updates as we get closer!
