A SPECIAL MESSAGE

I would like to thank the 251 people who have stepped up to the plate and made a donation to fund the site through this December. This past year TSwails had over 600,000 sessions, meaning less than 1 donation per session. If you do not find value in the site or don't have the funds, I understand and still welcome you with open arms. For those of you here daily, who gain knowledge, or make financial decisions based on the information, I ask that you make a reasonable contribution. Every little bit helps. After much deliberation, I've decided that due to the daily commitment of time, money, and hard work, this will be the last year for the site if I don't reach my financial goal. I'm only 65 percent there. The future depends on you. Thank you for your consideration and support the past 13 years. T. Swails

I CAN'T HIT THAT....

I was looking through the morning runs of the models, and I was like, wow, what do I swing at? The GFS brought a 100 mph fastball right down the gut, and the EURO brought a sweeping 84 mph curveball right on the corner. I took both pitches as strikes; the count is now 0-2 and I'm choking up on the bat. Who knows what's coming next?

Look at this, the temperature departures on Monday the 23rd on the GFS. 40 above normal near the Quad Cities!

The EURO is only 2-6 above normal, a difference of 34 to 38 degrees

That gives you readings the morning of the 23rd that look like this in the GFS

And this on the EURO

The meteogram of the GFS the next 15 days.

The meteorgram of the EURO for the same period.

Snowfall on the GFS through February 24th.

Snowfall on the EURO through the 24th.

Both models have some needed precipitation but get there in much different ways.

I like the trend of mild temperatures through the 17th, (although I think the GFS is probably too mild). After that, things get dicey, and I'm currently left holding the bat, waiting for the next pitch. I'm going to need a little pine tar before my next swing. Hopefully things will get a little clearer by my next post. I'm thinking slider, and I'm going to rope it to field. Stand by and roll weather...TS ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE, IF I DON'T MEET MY FINANCIAL GOALS, THIS WILL BE THE LAST YEAR OF THE SITE. IF YOU LIKE THE CONTENT, THE FUTURE IS UP TO YOU. T.S. 65% to my goal.
