BRIEF RELIEF FROM THE HEAT...
Sunday was gorgeous across eastern Iowa -- sunshine, a bit of a breeze and low humidity. Temperatures were much cooler and running below normal by around 5-10 degrees in the afternoon:
Humidity was incredibly low for late June standards:
Temperatures will remain slightly below normal to start the new week on Monday under plenty of sunshine:
And humidity will be slightly higher but still on the low side:
We'll go from the cooler, more comfortable conditions with troughiness in overhead to start the week:
To a ridge of high pressure in the upper levels sending in warmth and mugginess once again:
Temperatures will be back in the 80s on Tuesday:
And up around 90 by Wednesday:
Humidity will also be up in the sticky range by Wednesday:
We'll be mostly dry through the week with rain chances increasing Thursday night into Friday.
