SEVERE THREAT FOR SOME TONIGHT...

A thunderstorms complex (MCS) in South Dakota is expected to race southeast and increase in strength later today and especially this evening. A significant wind threat could develop as the complex encounters the high CAPE (instability) that exists in southern Minnesota, SW Wisconsin, and the NE third of Iowa tonight.
The Storm Prediction Center has an enhanced risk in place for the area below.

Meantime, high heat and humidity will dominate most of the Midwest the remainder of the day. Stay cool and up to date on the situation tonight if you are in the slight or enhanced risk area. Roll weather...TS
