DRY AS A BONE....

It has been very dry around my local area lately. In Cedar Rapids we haven't had any measurable precipitation since December 2nd. Despite that fact, we're not that far behind on precipitation for the month. Cedar Rapids, for example, is only 0.2" below normal for December.

However, of the Midwest has seen little to no rain over the last week. The next week won't yield much either.

High pressure will be in overhead for much of the week. There will be a weak system that moves through the central part of the country on Thursday and lead to a few rain showers/wintry mix in my local area. Otherwise it's going to continue to be mild.

Temperatures will be above normal and above freezing for much of the week. Here's the highs for Monday...

Tuesday...

And Wednesday...

The pattern does seem to get more active as we head into the end of the month and start of 2019...

But for now we're just waiting for something to come along....

One last note.... Monday is the one, the only, Mr. Terry Swails' birthday!!!! Join me in giving him a big 'ol HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I know he's wishing for some white gold! Roll weather!
