UPDATED CREST INFO FOR DAVENPORT

The NWS has increased the the crest slightly in the Quad Cities at LD 15 Rock Island. It is now projected to be 22.4" Wednesday evening. This is just under the all-time record of 22.6 in 1993. This could still fluctuate slightly depending on how much rain falls overnight. Most models project rainfall of 3/4" of an inch. The latest crest forecast does include input from tonight's anticipated rain. Heavier or lower amounts could slightly impact the final crest.

One important factor to consider is that the river is not projected to drop below 20 feet before next Tuesday evening. With the failed levees, water will remain in downtown Davenport for a considerable time, perhaps much of May. More to come.
