THE GROVE INTO THE STORM CHASE PIC OF THE DAY

The 2019 chase is over and it was without a doubt the best of our 12 consecutive years here at tswails.com. Our goal every year is to see a tornado, but to witness it in an environment where there's no damage or injuries. This year we watched in astonishment as a rare rain wrapped EF4 tornado pulverized Linwood, Kansas. It reached a width of 1 mile, produced 170 mph winds, and was on the ground producing damage for 31 miles.

In the Grove Bar and Grill chase picture of the day you can see what such a violent storm is capable of. The house you see was completely leveled down to the foundation. The family of 3 inside survived but lost all their belongings. They did not suffer any injuries but 18 others did in the surrounding area. Fortunately nobody was killed and we are so grateful for that.

Now that we are safely back to our family and homes we are grateful for all of our blessings and the knowledge we have gained in our attempt to understand these fickle storms.Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who were less fortunate. Roll weather...TS
