WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT...

Guess what? The winter weather advisory I "unofficially" posted earlier is now officially in effect. This is the area the NWS now has upgraded for 2 to as much as 5 inches of snow. (some spots maybe 6")

The NWS text associated with the advisory.

The only new model in the house is the EURO and that is a good one to have for general guidance.

Here are tighter views of the EURO for Iowa and Illinois

Here's one specifically for the Chicago metro area. Hello Chicago....love that city!

For now the snow is well up to the north, not likely to kick in around my area until 9 to midnight. This is a recent radar.

This just in, two more models hot off the press.

The 12k NAM

The 3k NAM
