SNOW FLYING AT THE SWAILS RANCH...

Heavy snow for now at my place in Marion, Iowa. 1.5" of snow and 0.20" of sleet and freezing rain. Mixed precipitation will continue to spread east through Midnight. Most of the accumulating snow tonight looks to stay northwest of line from roughly Iowa City to near Maquoketa and Bellevue, Iowa. 1-2" totals possible here, a few spotty 3" tallies possible.

Two new models in on tomorrow's snow. Along with what's fallen, these amounts are shown through Saturday night. Just a general guide.
