MILD AND QUIET....

It was a nice mild day Saturday across the Upper Midwest. For some... more than others. Out west the warmth blossomed. Here's a look at the temperatures via the National Weather Service in Omaha:

The 50s and 60s are heading east for Sunday!

You can see where the snowpack is the deepest, through far north-central Iowa into southern Minnesota. Temperatures won't warm as much as a result, but a lot of melting should get done. This will also be the warmest start to March since 1992 (temperatures were in the 60s and 70s that day!).

March looks to come in like a lamb... there will be a cold front that sweeps across the area Sunday night into Monday and it will bring some light rain to parts of Missouri, Illinois, Ohio:

Temperatures will be knocked back Monday as a result, but we'll still be above normal in the afternoon:

The remainder of the week will be quiet. Temperatures remain near and above normal and little to no precipitation is expected through Friday.

So enjoy some 40s, 50s, 60s and melting snow as we enter the month of March.
