The nights are getting longer and cooler... some of the leaves are starting to change color... fall is drawing closer. Saturday was beautiful and warm and Sunday is going to crank up the heat. Big area of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will lead to a hot day:

Temperatures will be nearing 90 degrees in the afternoon.. oofta! Very summerlike:

Humidity will be a bit higher than Saturday, but it won't be *terribly* high:

This is ahead of a cold front that will arrive late Monday. The warmth will hold Monday afternoon:

The cold front then arrives Monday afternoon/evening and will bring showers and thunderstorms with it:

There is the potential for some storms to be on the strong side, but there is some uncertainty based on the timing and how fast the front will be moving. The latest outlook from the Storm Prediction Center has a marginal (1 out of 5) risk for parts of my area.

Some gusty winds and hail will be possible with some of these storms. Storms move out Tuesday morning and fall weather will follow.

Temperatures on Tuesday will be down almost 20 degrees lower than Sunday:

And get even cooler Tuesday night:

Fall is coming!
