CHASE UPDATE

At 3:00pm I am located in Britt Iowa, west of Mason City. The Storm Prediction Center has just issued a mesoscale discussion for severe storms and tornadoes in this part of the state. Strong to violent tornadoes are indicated with winds of 140 to 170 mph. Hail to 3.50" is also possible. A new tornado watch for this area should be coming soon.

We are currently watching storms go up and the chase will begin shortly as the cells enter the favorable area for intensification. Hopefully, we are in the right spot to view them.
