NOW MORE THAN EVER I NEED YOUR HELP WITH OPERATING EXPENSES
THE FUTURE OF THE SITE DEPENDS ON YOU.
Hi everyone, as you know, TSwails.com is a no-pay site; existing on voluntary subscriptions or personal donations. If you find value in the site, I'm asking kindly that you make the donation you feel is worthy. I'm suggesting $20.00, roughly a nickel a day. Less than 5% of my readers donate, so your gift is not only appreciated, it helps immensely. Your contribution, whatever you can swing, supports the content, infrastructure, and operational costs. Thanks for anything you can do.
FEELING FINE IN FEBRUARY...
Saturday was gloomy and cool across the Midwest. It definitely makes a difference when we have sunshine versus the clouds. Sunday will be about 10 degrees warmer under the sunshine:

Monday will be fairly similar with sunny skies:

And we could be back in the 50s by Tuesday:

The mild weather is due to the snowmelt that has taken place over the last two weeks. Mostly big piles and drifts are left behind now. Here's a look at the current snow depth:

With a mostly bare ground, we also have a big high pressure system in overhead:

And that's what is sending the temperatures up around 15-20 degrees above normal. We'll be dry through Wednesday with the chance for rain by late Thursday:

This will begin to change the pattern, breaking down the big high pressure system and leading to more active and cooler weather toward the middle of the month:

Enjoy the March-like temperatures while they last!
