FEELING FINE IN NOVEMBER!

A week ago we were talking about 30s and some flakes flying. Two weeks before that was record warmth in October. Now we have weather that's just right! Temperatures Sunday afternoon look like an early October day:

The comfortable weather will continue as a ridge of high pressure sits overhead:

Temperatures will remain mild Monday and then get knocked back slightly as we head through the week. Even as the temperatures drop they will remain pretty close to normal....

Here's the temperature trend for the next 10 days in Cedar Rapids:

And Quad Cities:

Temperatures do cool down with a series of cold fronts and this trough replaces the ridge:

As we head into the FOLLOWING week, a big ridge builds back in:

Even with all of these temperature changes there won't be much precipitation. Here's a look at the next ten days on the European model:

We do need the rain, but it becomes a lot harder to get decent rainfall this time of year.
