FEELING THE CHILL....

Iowa can't seem to pick a season... and I can't pick a setting for my A/C. The recent chill has to do with a big low pressure system that's swirling over the Upper Midwest.

Sunday will be cloudy with the chance for some sprinkles in Iowa and Illinois. Snow will mostly be held to Minnesota and Wisconsin. It will be another cool day with temperatures running nearly 20 degrees below normal:

Strong winds will be developing out of the northwest with wind gusts at nearly 40 mph:

That will make it feel even cooler outside:

The system will produce precipitation, but thankfully the heaviest of it will be well to the north and away from the very high Mississippi:

Little to no precipitation is expected through the next week as we enter May which should also help river levels drop quicker...

Temperatures will gradually warm as we go through the week, but we'll still start off chilly and breezy on Monday:

We'll bump it up on Tuesday:

And Wednesday:

Not much else going on, but we can certainly get our fair share of active weather as we head through May - so we'll enjoy the calm times while they lost.
