GETTING BACK TO IT...
We've had some quiet, comfortable days and we're heading back into summer. That will include heat and the chance for rain. Sunday will be another dry and sunny day with temperatures running near normal:
The heat gets cranked up a bit on Monday as a trough begins to lift to the north:
Temperatures will be close to 90 in the afternoon:
A cold front will begin to move through late Monday and lead to the chance for showers and storms, mainly north of Highway 20:
This may not look like much but the Storm Prediction Center is watching the potential for strong storms in the region:
There could be some additional storms on Tuesday as the front comes through and temperatures remain mild:
There will be a more robust system that will bring more widespread rain to the area on Wednesday:
We'll have to watch the exact track, but this could be some beneficial rain for the ongoing drought!
