GIVE AND TAKE...
There will be some give and take with Sunday's weather as it will be a mild day. Temperatures will rise about 10 degrees above normal:
The give is the warmth, which will likely be the warmest we'll have for quite some time... The take will be the warmth comes with clouds as our next storm system approaches:
As the front moves through temperatures will be knocked back, held to the 30s to near 40 degrees on Monday:
There may be some light rain or sprinkles around on Monday. There could be flurries mixed in, but the higher chances for snow stay in Minnesota and Wisconsin:
Then comes the chill... temperatures will be below normal for the rest of the week. Tuesday will be sunny but we'll be held to the 30s and low 40s:
Some light snow or flurries will be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday:
Wednesday will be another cold day:
There may be more precipitation Wednesday night into Thursday. There are differences in the track of this system.
The European model has this system further north:
However, the GFS is much further south:
The European has been rather inconsistent and I wouldn't be surprised if it continues to trend further south and weaker. Regardless, Thanksgiving will be a mostly cloudy and cold day:
The bottom line is -- take advantage of the mild temperatures Sunday before the bottom drops out!
