REALITY CHECK....

Winds picked up across the Midwest Saturday, ushering in cooler air for the end of the weekend.

This will send temperatures down below normal. It'll be the first time below normal in the month of March... as we're seeing the warmest March to-date across the area:

It's going to be a chilly St. Patrick's Day! The coldest day we've had since February 28th....

With 30 mph winds, it will feel even colder throughout the day:

Temperatures will drop down into the teens and 20s by Monday morning --- reasons to hold off on planting the gardens ;)

Monday will be cool and breezy as well:

Temperatures will recover into the 50s on Tuesday, but we will stay fairly close to normal through the week - toeing the line between the trough and the ridge in the upper levels:

As we head toward the end of the month, there's signs of cooler air and potentially some wintry weather and snow in somewhere in the region...

Winter ain't over til it's over...!
