SAPLESS IN SEPTEMBER...

We've spoken about this a lot, but it looks like September is going to finish very dry. There's been a lack of precipitation across the region in September:

In fact, the Cedar Rapids airport hasn't recorded any rain since August 29th, marking the first time that there's been NO precipitation in September in Cedar Rapids on record.

With the current stretch of dry days, Cedar Rapids is in the to 20 longest streaks with no measurable precipitation. The current forecast will likely push it into the top 10.

Though there's been some rain in the Quad Cities, it's still in the top five for driest Septembers:

Little to no precipitation is expected over the next 7 days:

Precipitation chances remain low into the start of October as well:

We have a little taste of fall weather on the way too...
