Last Sunday we hit not only a record high of 80° in Cedar Rapids (and many other locations!) but also the earliest 80 on record - by almost two weeks. This Sunday we were held to the 40s and 50s - still above normal nonetheless.
Warmer air is just off to the southwest and will be moving in for the new week. The warmth will only be achieved by strong winds starting on Monday.
Temperatures will take a jump up into the 60s on Monday:

We continue to see signs of some cooler weather heading into St. Patrick's Day weekend - you can see the trough being carved out in blue -
