THROUGH THE FOG...

Temperatures finally cracked the freezing mark and led to slow melting across the region. Ice began to separate from trees and the grass, roads began to improve. As ice was shoveled and roads were plowed, it started to look like snow lining the streets in Cedar Rapids!

The ice was so thick, you can see the piece of ice that was surrounding the tree branches:

As the ice melted moisture was released and created fog. That fog will continue into early Monday before a cold front pushes through and helps to clear things up. Temperatures will also warm up a bit more to help melt the ice:

Temperatures will cool down behind the front on Tuesday:

Another cold front will move through late Tuesday and may lead to some light snow or flurries into early Wednesday:

Wednesday stays chilly with temperatures remaining below freezing:

A warm front will lift north and send temperatures up Thursday:

But temperatures cool back down heading into the weekend. Precipitation chances remain low during this time and we can hope things remain quiet for holiday travel (but I know we all wouldn't mind a White Christmas).
