TURNING UP THE HEAT....
The humidity was very present Saturday... and it feels even worse considering the nice, fall weather we've had lately. Temperatures were running several degrees below normal over the last 7 days:
Dew points were in the 50s and low 60s for almost a week prior to Saturday. Now we're back with those not-so-lovely 70 degree dews... that has led to much of the region being put under Heat Advisories:
As the heat builds in there may be some rain overnight into early Sunday. Then temperatures take off into the 90s:
Dew points will be in the sticky, uncomfortable range:
The combination will lead to heat index values pushing toward 100:
Then it gets even hotter. There will likely be more heat advisories or warnings as temperatures push well into the 90s:
With high dew points it will be uncomfortable and dangerously hot as heat index values soar well into the triple digits:
And then we've got another toasty Tuesday:
Which may then mark the third day with triple digit heat index values:
A cold front will push through late Tuesday and start to break the heat, leading to the chance for rain overnight into early Wednesday:
Wednesday will still be hot and humid, but with more rain with a second front late Thursday the heat will really begin to fade away.
