WINTER SETTLES BACK IN....

Snow is back on the ground and there's a chill in the air. This is quite the change from much of the month so far. Temperatures were above normal for most of the month:

Now we do have more snow that we'll wake up to Sunday morning:

We'll have another cool day Sunday with temperatures near freezing:

Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and low 30s through the first half of the week. On Wednesday there will be a storm system that moves through the region, right now trending south of Iowa:

There could still be some minor accumulations in the area -- we'll have to keep an eye on the exact track of the storm. Regardless, there will be some colder air that moves in for the rest of the week:

Temperatures likely remain near/below normal for the remainder of the month into early February:

The pattern also remains active during this time -- we'll have to take it day by day to assess the track of the storms and impacts.
