A TIME TO GIVE THANKS...

Before I touch on prospects for holiday snow, I just wanted to send a personal message. With Christmas approaching and another year coming to a close, Carolyn, Rebecca (RK) and I want to thank all of you for making tswails.com one of the most successful independent weather sites in the Midwest. Over the last 4 years we've attracted more than 1.3 million users that's generated 7 million page views.

We knew there was an untapped audience who wanted a unique perspective on the weather, but we never anticipated such an amazing response, especially with no marketing, just a viral approach. Our success and continued growth is due to you, the special friends and weather enthusiasts who utilize the site. We want to wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year!

Additionally, we can't begin to thank our loyal sponsors, many of which have been with us for years. Thanks to them we've been able to to pay for the data and infrastructure necessary to bring you our unique perspective.

We certainly need to give a special thanks to Dahl Ford in Davenport. Since the beginning they have been there by our side as truly amazing partners. One of KV's generous contributions has been to provide us with spectacular vehicles for our annual tornado chasing adventures. Not only do we ride in safety and luxury, we look better than anybody in the field thanks to the expert personalized wrapping. You always get VIP treatment at Dahl and we are so grateful to KV and his team!

Then there's Black Hawk College, another early supporter. John Meineke and the gang took advantage of Carolyn's 2016 trip to China where she sported BHC gear and handed out coffee mugs all the way to the Great Wall. We have always appreciated Black Hawk College's commitment to education and are proud of our long association with them.

We've also partnered with the Quad City International Airport for nearly 4 years. During that period some major renovations have made the QC Airport a first rate Midwest travel hub. Tswails.com provides forecasts for all of their airline destinations. With weather critical to the aviation industry we feel great that they would make us their forecasting source!

Snowplow Parts Warehouse near Chicago is another relationship we value. With over 35 years of experience they carry over 6,000 factory original and aftermarket parts for your snow and ice equipment. They know that nobody is a bigger fan of snow than tswails.com. We let you know when its coming and they provide the essentials to get it cleaned up.

Last but not least Hoffman lawn care has been with us for a year. Out of Dubuque they have been taking care of lawn care needs in the tri-state area for years. When the flakes fly, they have the snow removal equipment to keep things moving on both the residential and professional side. They depend on accurate forecasts to keep their business running at the highest level. We appreciate that!

We salute all our sponsors and hope that you will consider using their services next time you have a need. I can tell you they are all excellent at what they do and that's why we recommend them!

P.S. If you have a business that's a good fit for tswails.com we would love to hear from you. Our rates are extremely reasonable and we'll let you know how we can work with you to let our 1.3 million users benefit your business. Contact Carolyn at carolynswettstone@yahoo.com. Roll weather and Merry Christmas!

By the way, the latest GFS shows this for snowfall through December 25th. Not very optimistic.

However, the EURO is a bit more aggressive and brings some light accumulations to much of my area. If the EURO is right, we could see just enough before Christmas to bring a light coating that would make things white and bright.

Keep the faith and here's to a minor Christmas miricle, the gift of snow. Roll weather...TS
