A NOD FROM MY BEDROOM...

Hi everybody, I wanted to take a few minutes from my home in Dubuque to personally send my gratitude to the thousands of you who have have sent messages of hope and recovery following my recent life threatening health scare. Things were very tense for a time and involved a couple days I don't evening remember. Thankfully, the doctors and the good lord performed some amazing work and and left me to recover.

The extent of my issues were rather extreme and something I personally wish to keep private. That said, I'm told that if I can get back most of the 35 pounds I lost back, I have a good chance for a strong recovery! Regaining that amount of strength and muscle atrophy will take serious time. I spend a lot of my day sleeping, trying to eat, and pushing a walker as I attempt to fully use my legs once again, a goal which I intend to achieve sooner rather than later.

I also miss my work forecasting, but as of yet do not have the energy or mental capability to put together a forecast that meets my standards. I'm told that should come with time. However, I want to stress, I have a long road ahead of me and so I ask for a bit more patience from you as l as I put the pieces together again. I will of course have Nick on weekends to fill the void as much as possible. I will also try to drop in some surprise posts of my own, especially if my strength finds its way back sooner.

What I really want you to know, is that the quality and compassion of you (the users on this site) is like no other. It's hard to measure the feelings of others through a web site but your hearts and words have spoken volumes. I hear you rooting for me laying in the dark of my bed, shuffling down the hall, or trying to shave my face. Move, go, you can do this!

You've all been so special. (I will never understand the immense hope you showed for my cause). What I do know and I want you to understand, is that your love and your light gave me the strength to face odds that were far from good. Now, it's time to use your powers on others who find themselves in difficult situations. What you did for me, will work for them. It's my prayer going forward that you will continue to spread the light and power of love on others who need it.

Thank you so much everyone! Roll weather...TS
