GOODBYE HIGH PRESSURE...

It's been a nice, quiet weekend across the region with high pressure in place. That's led to sunny and calm conditions and at times nice and fall-like. Sunday started to feel toasty as high pressure has been scooting east. Clouds will begin to move in overnight but we may have enough time to see the Perseid meteor shower overnight.

You can expect to see around 100 meteors per hour with the peak overnight into Monday morning, with the better viewing after 11pm. Clouds will start to take over and some light rain will be possible by daybreak Monday:

As clouds and some light rain/drizzle lingers temperatures will be held back on Monday:

Tuesday will be warmer with sunshine and a south wind:

With high pressure out, the pattern turns a bit more active. More rain moves in late Wednesday afternoon:

And rain could continue overnight into Thursday:

There could be a few additional showers Friday, but then it appears we dry out for the weekend.

There's uncertainty on timing, precipitation totals, and severe weather chances. The overall severe threat appers low at the moment but may change as each rain chance evolves.
