THE FALL CHILL...
Another cold front will move through Sunday and usher in the coldest air of the season so far. Temperatures will be cooler Sunday with highs running below normal:
Winds will be picking up out of the north as a strong high pressure system begins to move in, winds could gust as high as 35-40 mph:
The high pressure system will be settle in, keeping skies clear and cool, below normal temperatures in place:
Temperatures will be held to the 50s on Monday afternoon, even under full sunshine!
With clear skies, light winds and very dry air in place, temperatures will drop to near and below freezing by Tuesday morning with frost likely:
Highs will be in the 50s once again Tuesday and we'll drop back down near freezing with frost possible again Wednesday morning:
We'll be back around 60 by Wednesday afternoon:
And nearing 70 by Thursday:
That's as a ridge builds back in the upper levels of the atmosphere, keeping temperatures back above normal through the end of the week:
While we'll have above normal temperatures, the 80s may not be on the board. The average date for the last 80 degree day is around October 10th.
