THE GLOOM CONTINUES....

The clouds, fog, and mist made quite the gloomy day on Saturday. The clouds will persist as we finish the weekend.

Temperatures will be near normal, with colder air in the snowpack of course:

Fog will be possible Sunday night into Monday and we're back in the clouds:

Temperatures will be slightly warmer in the afternoon compared to Sunday:

Our next storm begins to move in on Tuesday, with precipitation starting in the afternoon:

If precipitation starts earlier in the day there will be the chance for a wintry mix/ freezing rain, but right now the timing looks later. This storm system is moving further north than the last one, putting most of the area in the warm sector. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 30s Tuesday afternoon, peaking in the night before the cold front arrives:

Timing could always change but we'll then see rain continue overnight into early Wednesday morning. There could be a transition to some snow in northern Iowa:

Temperatures stay on the mild side as the low pressure system slowly moves across the state on Wednesday:

Cooler air will move in Thursday:

On the backside of the low pressure system snow may wrap in Thursday night into Friday:

The sun will come out.. eventually
